When in a bar opt to give the tip directly to the bartender/server. Don't use a tip jar, especially when their back is turned, or your patronage will go unnoticed and you'll be thought of as cheap.

Headphones

If you're buying headphones for an MP3 player that typically sits in a protective casing, make sure the headphone jack can fit within the casing's headphone port hole.

Freedom of photography

According to the American Civil Liberties Union, there is no law that prohibits anyone from taking photographs in public areas, even of police.

"Found" Fliers

"Found" fliers, describing items/animals that have been found and should be returned, are ineffective because it allows anyone to claim that the item is theirs, leaving the finder ignorant of whether or not they're telling the truth.
