Washing your hands after using the restroom is not necessarily to clean yourself of germs acquired from using the restroom, but instead a periodic opportunity to rid yourself of bacteria picked up since the last time you've washed your hands.

Tumble Brambles

If an item of clothing becomes covered in brambles from the outdoors, pick off as many as you can before placing it into the laundry- between the washer and dryer, the brambles may spread to other items of clothing.

When handling spicy peppers when cooking be sure to wash your hands when you're done, especially before you use the restroom.
