Tech check

Before a presentation requiring laptops, overheads, or powerpoints, don't count on the room being set up exactly as you need it. If you can, check the room a day beforehand and be sure that you can connect any and all cords required, or that there are no technical hiccups (ie, lack of sound, broken video, etc.)
